Incredible shrinking me.. Part 2

Ok so I lost a reasonable amount of weight. Then started to get bored and cheat.
I know it has started to creep back on so as of tomorrow I am back on the wagon.
I have ordered my supplies from the company I used before but dont know when it will get here. I still have a day or twos worth from before though so can get going.
Right now I don't actually know what I weigh so we will save that delight for tomorrow morning.
What I do know is that I am going on holiday last week in July (Which incidentally is my birthday) I WILL NOT be dieting then.
So kiddies.
“What's it going to be then, eh?”

dr who

No spoilers.
Just finally caught up with Dr Who.
Singularly uninspired by it all.
I stopped watching Tennant because I found Catherine Tate so annoying.
Unfortunately I am finding the doctor increasingly annoying which isn't really the point is it?

Shrinking me time (again)

Ok so a few years ago I decided that being over 18 stone wasnt the best plan for a fella so I lost a fair amount on the GI diet. It worked well for me as it was mainly a substitution diet. Brown rice for white etc. The idea being the unprocessed stuff takes longer to digest so you feel fuller longer. Problem was that although my dearest better half likes a lot of the food it did degenerate to cooking 2 meals etc.
Anyhow over time the weight started to creep back on (I never did exactly get down to racing snake proportions) but when my Gall bladder kicked off I stood on a scale, and frankly was quite shocked at the number (mainly because it was lower than I thought but still up).
So after they cut me open I wondered if the weight would move. I was expecting 2 weeks off work (and snacking) to boost the mass but oddly I stayed stable, but still too high.
What to do, what to do. GI again?
Hmm nope. Mainly because of Alex. The thought of trying to stick to something like that and satisfy everyone else didn't thrill me then I came across an advert for "weight to go" It's a meal replacement thingy. Not to the same extent as lighter life or the cambridge diet, basically 3 shakes a day, a pouched soup and a premade meal. You just add some fruit and some veg.
1st week was half price, you just chose your menu and it turned up a a nice big box. The idea suits me as it means it takes the hassle out of the shopping, and it is easy to stick to at work.
Well I have been on it for 2 weeks now.
Why didnt I mention it before? Hmmm. To be honest it was purely because I wasn't sure if I would stick to it. I hate microwave food as a whole and I could easily imagine that I would try a shake or soup and discover it is vile. As it happens it's pretty good. I am not sticking to it ridgidly, it is about 850 calories a day and there is no way I could tolerate that. So I am bulking it up with fruit only.
The result so far? I have lost 3.2 Kilos or 7.1Lb This translates to losing 1 BMI point
No bad really. The meal plan seems to suit me and I get a free week 5 So I plan to stay on it until then.
I have no goal, except to be less round. I suspect the loss will slow down this week as historically I have always lost more in the 1st few weeks of any diet I have tried but hey ho. Off we go!.

I snagged this from [info]londonbard.

So, if you read this, leave me a one-word comment about your day that starts with the third letter of your LJ USERNAME. Only one word please. Then repost so I can leave a word for you. Don't just post a word and not copy - that's not as much fun!

Ahh back from my God daughters birthday party. We had every thing a party needs. Jelly, games oh and strange guy who wandered in.
Yup, we got crashed by an elderly gentleman, apparently he had been at the hall earlier and lost a glove. So we had a look for it. No joy. So we wrote out a note for the hall management. He seemed a little frail and confused so got him a chair to compose himself before he headed home.
Then we shifted the cake as he was about to cut it. (Generally you like to have the kids sing happy birthday first).
Next minute he is starting to open the presents!
So we retrieve them from him, he apologises saying he thought it was his birthday, but I am not convinced he is quite as confused as he is making out as I had been watching him pick one up, then rapidly put it down when anyone went near, then reach out sideways to grab it again when he thought he was unobserved. I do think he wasn't fully with it, but not so far gone that he would mistake a 3 year olds party for a surprise party for himself, particularly when he didn't know anyone there.
Still we didn't make a huge fuss, just moved everything out of reach and left him to his devices until he decided to wander off again. Then he wandered back. I had visions of calling social services or the police just to help him find his way home.
What fun eh?

Sadness

My LJ list is full of sad posts regarding the loss of a special four legged friend.
All I can say is me too.
